Documenting Your Online Business Process

Documenting Your Online Business Process

With all the other roles that an online entrepreneur or internet marketer has to play in his life – from blog updating, to bringing the kids to school, to cooking dinner, to paying the bills, to reading analytics, to buying a new domain for a new online venture – remembering all the processes involved in his online business could be quite a challenge.
While every online business owner has his own way of doing things with his online business, and his way of conducting it sets him apart from his competitors, there is a common denominator that each marketer keeps in mind in keeping his business alive: the entire cycle of what sustains his business – that is, from attracting prospective customers, to keeping loyal customers, to finding new methodologies on how to stay ahead of his competition.
For this reason, it is very essential to capture the processes involved in the whole business cycle in the form of a document. Simply put, it is necessary to document the processes involved in a business in order to replicate it and even refine it in the future – the methods, the projected output, the works.

Make it as a reference not only for yourself but also for your team
Provide a systematic way in collaborating with your team in carrying out certain processes
Update it anytime to make it more suitable when there’s a need to expand yourbusiness
One recently discovered tool that paves way to documenting business process is the mind-mapping tool. It was Tony Buzan who popularized the technique, and his aim then was to introduce e new method on how to solve problems creatively.
Simply put, a mind map involves ideas (which are presented as topics and sub-topics) that are “mapped” together to make it easier to understand and remember.
By using a mind-mapping tool, any problem-solver (an online marketer, for example) would be able to see a clearer picture of how his ideas can be interrelated. By simply organizing these ideas (or topics) in a structured manner, a more synergized concept is formed, providing a clearer direction on how to solve a spec
